Setareh Shahab-Ferdows, Ph.D.

Setti holds a Ph.D. in Nutrition from UC Davis and has worked closely with Dr. Allen for over 20 years, contributing to micronutrient deficiency research across low- and middle-income countries. Her expertise spans the full research pipeline — from fieldwork and sample collection to study coordination and laboratory analyses. Though now retired, Setti continues to support the lab part-time, bringing an invaluable depth of experience to our ongoing work.
